Butter and Egg Adventures is a privately-owned Alabama retreat center and outdoor recreational facility located on 48 scenic acres in Troy, Alabama. With plenty of family-friendly things to do, a wide variety of aerial recreation, including 23 ziplines in Alabama and bunkhouse accommodations for 52 guests,

Church and youth retreats, field trips and kid birthday parties may also be arranged. Friendly, well-trained staff members assist guests on zip lines, climbing structures, low and high rope challenge courses and at waterfront activities. With a 3200 square foot lodge, Butter and Egg Adventures accommodates meeting and dining space for up to 100 guests with catering services available, but not required. Also located on-site is the home of The BattleField which is an outdoor laser tag field with over 42,000 square feet of playing area, fox holes, machine gun nests and more.

At the Pioneer Museum of Alabama in Troy visitors can explore 18th and 19th-century pioneer life through interactive experiences in more than 20 historic buildings and indoor exhibits covering farming methods, textile production, Native American culture and Alabama’s wartime history. Johnson Center for the Arts
Troy, Alabama’s Johnson Center for the Arts operates as a dynamic cultural center within its beautifully renovated 1910 Classical Revival-style former post office building. Pike County’s leading art venue features seven galleries which include a two-story main gallery that displays rotating exhibitions by artists from local to international levels. The center started its operation in 2000 with the goals of maintaining the historic structure and enhancing community life and now provides free entry along with numerous educational activities which establish its position as an essential part of the local art community.
